night sweats / insomnia

8/22 11:30 pm
It's only 71 degrees in the house, I have my window A/C on, my feet are freezing but the rest of my body is sweating like crazy. Especially my head and face. So much for trying to fall asleep early because that isn't happening......

8/23 11:10am
the weather is now clear and but the temp has dropped even more, it's only 66 degrees now.
I had a horrible time sleeping. I could not find a comfortable spot to lay. The night sweats finally stopped about 3 am and I think i finally stayed to sleep for longer than a few minutes after about 4:30 am but I was up at about 6ish to pee and then again at 8:45ish am and I couldn't find a comfortable spot to go back to sleep, so I just got up.

  • and neck are knotted up and I cant relax them. - pain level 7
  • very blurred vision and I don't wear glasses and never have. Sometimes during bad flares I get a very subtle lazy eye that is only noticeable in pictures.
  • ankles, feet, arms, wrists, hands and fingers are very sore... not muscle sore but  *"fibro sore". pain level 5
  • abs, thighs, caves, and upper arms are both muscle sore and "fibro sore" - pain level 6
  • lower back and butt are pretty angry but not as angry as they were last night before i fell asleep, and the pain has not started to shoot down my leg yet, that's nice :)  - Pain level 3
  • I'm pretty exhausted, I haven't decided what to do with myself yet. I should probably just stay up? I don't want another day like yesterday.
Plan for the day: Hmm.. it's Friday, I need to go to the pool because I will feel much better. It's kind of too cold to lay in the sun, but I REALLY need to. There are so many things around the house that need done and/or organized but it's almost too overwhelming. Stretching, shower and I guess see how I am doing from there.

*fibro sore- there is a difference between over worked muscle pain and painful body ache tenderness from a fibromyalgia flare up. I don't think people that have not actually experienced a bad bad bad case of the flu or the actual FMS, really truly understand this. Although over working muscles does sometimes make you more "fibro sore", the pain is different from a normal over worked muscle that is just rebuilding itself.  It is for me anyway, and I have been told the same by many other FMS suffers too, that they are in agreement.
